Smith Home
585 Sunny Glen Court, Woodland Park
Joan Razook ~ Holiday Designer
Yvonne Weiser ~ Venue Coordinator

Built in 1993 by the late Gene and Betty Innis, this home had the honor of being in the first Tweeds Holiday Home Tour 20 years ago! After relocating to Woodland Park in January 2018, the Smiths began an extensive remodeling project featuring the talents of local craftsman and artisans. The result is a home that captures the owners’ love of the outdoors.

Upon entering the home via the gated courtyard, you are greeted by a rotunda featuring a two-tiered steel and mica chandelier. The high ceilings continue throughout the first level of the home and are accented with wooden beams and sections of newly installed tongue-and-groove ceiling planks. A large floor-to ceiling river rock fireplace serves as anchor for the far end of the great room. The newly designed and constructed kitchen includes knotty maple cabinets, a large expansive granite island and new appliances. Even the cooktop backsplash has a rustic mountain touch with handcrafted tiles featuring native Colorado wildlife. A pine railing in the great room is accented by a one-of-a-kind metal décor art piece which showcases their son’s love of fly fishing. Notice the Chinook dog sled (circa 1930’s) hanging on the wall above the staircase. The downstairs features two additional bedrooms and baths, a family room complete with a river rock fireplace, a small kitchen and even a hunting/fishing room. What is most inviting is the warmth and comfort of the home, captured by the mountain design furnishings from Tweeds.

Jerry and Joy have enjoyed their short time here and would like to thank everyone for attending and supporting this year’s Tweeds Holiday Home Tour and the non-profit organizations that benefit from the tour. Peace and Joy to all during this Holiday Season.
